Boy do I love a monthly subscription box.
Since I’m trying to lose some of my baby weight before I start buying clothes and using Stitch Fix again, I found a monthly subscription box filled with fun things for the baby and me. Similar to Stitch Fix, when you sign up for Bluum Box, you fill out a profile for your baby and let them know the milestones your baby is hitting on a monthly basis in order for them to customize your box a bit more. Along with that you can specify the types of things you’d like to see each month and whether or not you’d like a little surprise for you, too. All boxes are priced at a flat rate and if you sign up for a 3-month, 6-month or 12-month subscription, the price is even lower than if you just purchased a one-off box. Woohoo!
Here’s a rundown of the cuteness that was in my and Cecilia’s first Bluum Box…
Angel Dear Blankies (Yellow Cyclops and Pink Robot)
The box came with two of these adorable blankies. They are super soft and really adorable. The box arrived the day of Cecilia’s 2-month checkup and first round of vaccines and she instantly grabbed on to the pink blankie when I put it in front of her. It warmed my heart to see and I can’t wait to see her grow even more in love with these sweet things.
Satsuma Designs Organic Baby Scratch Mittens
These are so soft! Unfortunately we never used mittens on our baby. Not only did we keep her nails trimmed as much as possible, we were told by our lactation consultant that the hospital discouraged mittens in order to encourage skin-to-skin contact between the baby and parents and help the baby to learn how to self-soothe. These do feel really nice, though, so I’m sad I won’t be using them.
Satsuma Designs Organic Terry Wash Cloths (2 pack)
These are pretty much the super soft mittens in wash cloth form. I’m looking forward to using these for bath time since they’ll be nice on Cecilia’s sensitive newborn skin. I might even use them for myself!
Jean Pierre Cosmetics Regenerating Pomegranate Cream
This was obviously the gift for mom. I’ve only used this cream a couple of times since I’ve gotten it, but I like it. My skin has been pretty dry lately and it was a great moisturizer and made my skin feel really healthy and soft. It also smells great, so that’s a huge plus! I generally find skin products I like and stick with them forever, so I never would have sought a product like this out, but I’m glad I found it and I may add it to my skin “routine” if it continues to help!
Overall, Bluum Box was a fun treat. The box also came with a $40 coupon for HelloFresh, so it ended up that I paid $23 for the box and got products that retailed for just over $100 (including the $40 coupon). It was nice to also find new companies who sell quality baby products that you won’t find at big box stores. I signed up for a 3-month subscription to try it out, so stay tuned for more!
Do you get any monthly subscription boxes? Which do you like?
Disclosure: I was not paid by Bluum Box to write this post, but if you click on one of the links above and sign up for three or more months, I do receive a referral credit toward future monthly boxes. All opinions are my own.
