Hooray for holiday baking/crafting season! I’m so excited to share what I’ll be making, so let’s get right into it…
This is the second year that I’m doing an advent calendar for Cecilia. This year her little bags are filled with small crafts, ornaments, chocolate coins, Legos, mini horse figurines (she’s obsessed with horses right now) and more! The calendar has been up for a few days and she is so excited to start opening her presents.
The past two years I’ve made salt dough ornaments with the help of my little girl. I’m not doing those this year, but as I just mentioned, I have some cute little crafts in her advent calendar, so that may be the extent of our holiday crafting this year. We’ll definitely pick it up again next year when we’ve got our new little one 🙂
Ever since I started canning, I’ve given family and friends some of my final products as gifts this time of year. I didn’t really do much canning the last few months, but I’m still giving gifts that come in mason jars! I love doing this because it makes for a super cute package and I love the simplicity of it. Last year I made pancake mix and hot chocolate mix and popped those in mason jars to give and this year I have popcorn themed jars and coffee themed jars that I’m gifting. I’m super excited for them!
Baked goods are on my gift list, too! I love giving nicely wrapped plates of baked goods to people.
These soft and chewy vanilla orange cranberry cookies were on my list last year and I didn’t get to making them, but I’m defintiely going to do it this year!
I make my super easy peppermint bark every year and it’s ALWAYS a huge hit!
Even though I can’t drink these refreshing cranberry orange mules, that doesn’t mean I can’t make them for other people!
These hazlenut lace sandwich cookies are definitely on my list this year! My mouth started watering just looking at the photo of them!
Hot cocoa cookies?!?!? I dare you to pass these up!
Because I’m a huge fan of hot cocoa, I’m testing an ice cream recipe inspired by it this week, that I hope will work out! If it does, you bet I’ll post it here!
I may make these chocolate peppermint brownies for one of the holiday parties I’m going to because no one in my little family can be trusted with having these in the house!
Need more ideas? Check out last year’s post!
Oh, and tell me what’s on your crafting/gifting/baking/drinking list this year!
