Y’all. We are NINE days away from Gilmore Girls!!!!
As promised, here is part two of my favorite episodes. If you didn’t catch part one last week, you can find it here. Don’t forget to send me your favorites because I want to know which ones made your list. As I mentioned last week, these aren’t in order of how much I like them because that would be darn near impossible to do. Also, zero episodes from season seven are on my list because I can’t stand that season and don’t ever really watch it.
Those Are Strings, Pinocchio (Season Three) – I love a graduation – in real life and on TV. To this day, Rory’s valedictorian speech makes me teary-eyed — especially when she mentions the home Lorelai created for her and how she always wanted to be her. Ugh, those few minutes just get me. I also loves how this episode ties up loose strings and opens the door for Sookie and Lorelai to buy the Dragonfly and a way to continue the infamous and always entertaining Friday night dinners. This was a great season finale episode that got me excited for the season to come.
The Lorelai’s First Day at Yale (Season Four) – This was another one of those episodes where Lorelai showed just how freaking cool she is. Not only did she buy Rory a non-germy mattress for her to use, but she also makes Rory’s first night at Yale unforgettable by ordering a ton of takeout and inviting the entire floor of her dorm over to help her eat it. We also find out that Paris is one of Rory’s roommates so there is lots to look forward to as Rory starts Yale. This episode also makes me reminisce about moving into my first college dorm and you know how I love nostalgia!
Wedding Bell Blues (Season Five) – This episode makes me really really happy and then really really angry. I love the scene at Emily’s bachelorette party and adore seeing how much Richard and Emily love each other after 40 years of marriage. And then Christopher walks in to poop on everything. Grrrrrrr. Is he in the revival?
Twenty-One is the Loneliest Number (Season Six) – I’m not really sure why I like this episode so much. Maybe because we start to see signs that both Rory and Lorelai may be coming around to each other and a reconciliation seems imminent? Or maybe it’s because I want to go to a party where I leave with a chocolate box favor? Who knows? 🙂
Bridesmaids Revisited (Season Six) – I’m not a Logan fan (Team Jess all the way!) and this episode really shows how much of a worm he really is. When this episode originally aired, I was really excited that this meant it was the end of Rory and Logan, but, of course, I wasn’t so lucky.
Now it’s your turn – tell me your favorite Gilmore Girls episodes!
