It’s time for my May Stitch Fix review! Since my last fix I created a “Stitch Fix Style Inspiration” board on Pinterest to help my stylist get to know me better. Currently my board contains pins of some super cute summer dresses as well as a bunch of pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) and her sister Pippa. Yes, I’m obsessed with both of them and their style (but that could be a whole other post). Anyway, my stylist for this month, Erin, even pointed out on the note she included with my fix that she took a look at my board to get a better idea of what I was looking for. High five to her and Stitch Fix for going the extra mile! Another reason why I absolutely LOVE them!
Alrighty…without further ado…here’s what I got this month!
#1 AV Max Clark Hammered Circles Chain Necklace
#2 41Hawthorn Nickole Sleeveless Lace Fit & Flare Dress
This dress is a gorgeous coral color and has a great stretch to it. It’s very Kate Middleton-esque as Erin noted and I absolutely loved it. I think it would be great dressed up with some nude heels and a great aqua necklace (I have just the one in mind) or even dressed down with some great sandals. LOVE! THE DECISION: Kept.
#3 Pomelo Jay Houndstooth Print Swing Skirt
This skirt is sooooooo comfortable. It has a great elastic waistband that has just the right amount of tightness and stretch to it (as in it cinches you in just enough) and I also love how it could go with pretty much any solid color top (which we all have a ton of). At first I thought it was a bit too long for me, but I kept it on for a while and it totally grew on me. THE DECISION: Kept.
#4 Lily Cheyanne Cross-Front Short Sleeve Top
Love this color of this top! It’s super similar to the color of the lace dress from above, so it’s not only a nice, bright top for summer, but it could also work around the holidays. I thought the top was flattering at first, but the more I wore it, the more I realized that I had to fidget with it constantly to make it look it’s most flattering. I think it was just a bit too big for me, too. THE DECISION: Sent back.
#5 41 Hawthorn Jeana 3/4 Sleeve Surplice Front Geo Dress
I like the print of this dress and had high hopes for it, but the fit was just not there. Since I’m petite the “3/4 sleeve” was more full length and there was just a bunch of extra fabric in front that didn’t totally lay right. It was comfy, but it really just swallowed me up. THE DECISION: Sent back.
Again, I was 2/5 for this fix. What do you think? Did I keep the right things?
Disclosure: I was not paid by Stitch Fix to write this post, but if you click on one of the links above and sign up, I do receive a referral credit to buy more cute new clothes. I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing
