Happy Monday! How was your weekend?
Ours was filled pumpkin patches, Halloween parties, kid birthday parties and trying to stay cool. Yes, I said staying cool. It was in the 90s here this weekend and it’s supposed to reach the low 100s here the next few days. Ugh. I want my Fall weather already!
Cecilia has decided she is a HUGE fan of pumpkin patches. She had fun at the pumpkin patch last year, but this year she was out of control. We always go with our Stroller Strides pals, so that’s probably one reason she loves it, but our nearest “pumpkin station” has lots of little kid carnival rides, a petting zoo, inflatable slides, bouncy houses and a train. And that’s on top of all of the pumpkins.
Last week, I got the best issue of the year of Food & Wine – the Thanksgiving issue! It is always one of the BEST days of the year for me because I love to spend a lot of time reading all of the articles and recipes to get ideas for our Thanksgiving dinner. This year, I pinned a few recipes and I can’t wait to make them around Thanksgiving. It’s going to be so good!
Generally, Gilmore Girls and The West Wing are on repeat in my house, but this weekend I started re-watching Mad Men. I’ve probably watched the entire show twice, but it’s been a while. I forgot how amazing and full each episode is and I love re-living it.
Another thing that’s been on repeat in our house? It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched it in the last week.
We’re taking our annual family pictures soon and I can’t wait! I’ve already started planning our outfits 🙂
For those of you keeping track, Cecilia’s napping has gotten SLIGHTLY better. She still doesn’t sleep more often than not, but I’m hoping that continues to change.
Have a great week!
