Happy Monday! How is November treating you so far?
Last week was stressful and crazy, so I’m glad we had a relaxing weekend filled with lots of family time. On Friday, we went to see the final dress rehearsal of The Grinch at The Old Globe Theatre in Balboa Park. Last year when we tried to see it, Cecilia lasted all of about 30 minutes before losing her marbles, but this year she sat and enjoyed the entire musical! She was a little scared of The Grinch at times, but she loved the singing and clapping and now loves reading the book at home.
Part of the craziness last week was due to some giant metal hook I ran over on Wednesday on my way to Stroller Strides. I felt like my car was driving a little funny and was slightly annoyed because I had just taken it in for a service the day before. My friend noticed the giant thing in my tire and thank goodness for her! I called Travis and he came and changed my tire during class then I went to the tire store immediately after for a new one. Definitely a start to my day I wasn’t expecting!
The weather has been much cooler here the past week and I LOVE IT. It’s sunny and slightly warm during the day, but the morning and evening hours are chilly, so we’ve been making good use of our pumpkin candles and “cold blankets” as Cecilia calls them.
What are you watching on TV right now? I’m a couple episodes behind on This is Us and I just started watching this season of Jane the Virgin. Other than that, I’ve been re-watching Mad Men on Netflix. Last night I watched my favorite episode of the show EVER (The Suitcase) and I think I may even watch it again today 🙂
Have you spotted any holiday commercials yet? Surprisingly I’ve only seen two, but that may be because I rarely watch live TV in order to catch them. Either way, I’m glad I’m getting eased into the thick of the holiday season.
Last week, we got the Toys ‘r’ Us catalog in the mail and Cecilia literally went through it with post-it notes and marked the things she wanted. She’s completely fixated on a few things in there and will just stare at the page they’re on, so I guess we know what to get her for Christmas!
If you saw my Instastory yesterday, you know that it’s time to stock up on your favorite pumpkin items from TJs! The closest store to me already sold out of the pumpkin pancake mix that I love so much, so I need to hit up a few others to stock up for the year! Also, their Thanksgiving and winter items are out now! I love the chips that taste like stuffing and I also got a box of their cornbread stuffing to make with one of our dinners this week. EEK! So excited!
Have a great week!
