How was your Halloween???? I’ve honestly never been a person who went crazy for Halloween, but I totally did this year because I had my little girl to dress up. She went as a Cabbage Patch Kid and it was a HUGE hit. We won our Stroller Strides costume contest and she’s even ended up on a few of our neighborhood business Instagram pages because they fell in love with her. You can see her here. Bad news is that I feel like I set the bar too high and have to try and out-do myself next year.
One sad thing I realized is that kids nowadays have NO IDEA what a Cabbage Patch Kid is! So many kids asked if she was a doll and seemed completely clueless. I know they still sell CPKs at Target, so it made me sad. I loved my CPK growing up (I had a few), so now I think I want to get Cecilia one for Christmas just to keep the CPK love alive.
We also went to two pumpkin patches this year. Y’all – we’re cah-razy for pumpkins in this house; in case you couldn’t tell by my post last week about my favorite pumpkin items from Trader Joe’s!
Yesterday I had my first ever pumpkin spice latte! Crazy, right? Me, Christina Pumpkin-lover, had never had a PSL. No fear, though, it wasn’t from Starbucks, but a local coffee shop that makes their own pumpkin spice syrup in house with all-natural ingredients. It was delightful.
So, you know how I have done a summer bucket list the last two years? I feel like I totally want to to a holiday bucket list. Is that overkill? I think I mostly want to do it because I’m staying at home to watch Cecilia so I feel like I actually have time to enjoy the holiday season and because it’s her first holiday season and I have so many traditions I want to start. Yes, I know that she’s not going to remember anything from this year, but I still want to do it. One thing on my imaginary list that really has been a goal of mine for the last few years? Watch It’s a Wonderful Life. I’ve never seen it!
Did you hear Netflix is in talks to do a Gilmore Girls reboot? Um, when I read the news I think I screamed out loud. And then I think the same day the new Star Wars trailer was released and I bought tickets to see the new movie. It was a great day.
Oh, and the new Adele song. How freaking talented is that gal? LOVE HER.
