How was your weekend? Did you do anything exciting? It was crazy hot here last week, so we tried to stay cool as much as possible!
Speaking of staying cool, Cecilia’s water table arrived this week! Ever since our offer got accepted on our new home and I knew we were going to have outdoor space, I wanted to order her a water table. She loves it, gets completely drenched each time she plays with it and has even tried to get inside of it.
Since we got Cecilia a learning tower last week, we have been doing some major cooking and baking. This week we made BBQ ribs, these chocolate chip cookies, zucchini bread and some cheesy, breaded zucchini. She absolutely loves it. She makes a massive mess every time we do something, but I don’t mind because we’re making great memories together.
While we’ve had fun in the kitchen this week, the past few days have also been the hardest mom days I’ve had to endure in quite some time. Cecilia is in a major temper tantrum phase and really loves to test boundaries and push my buttons. There have been quite a few tears shed from both of us, so I’m hoping for a brighter week ahead.
How is it possible that I’m already researching pre-schools for my baby?!?!? Seriously.
What is wrong with me that I’m already thinking about Fall, pumpkins and Christmas? I’ve already started looking on Pinterest for Fall decorating ideas and I was so close to putting on my James Taylor Christmas Pandora station on Saturday. I have no idea who I am. Especially because I’m appalled that Target has had their back-to-school stuff out since last month. What kind of hypocrite am I? What is happening?!?!?
Have you been watching any summer TV? I’m still making my way through The Good Wife and watching Real Housewives of Orange County, New York and New Jersey. I don’t think I’ve ever watched this many franchises at once. You’re killing me Bravo!
The Good Wife is the first show I’ve binged on Amazon video and I have to say the one thing that makes me like it more than binging on Netflix is that it doesn’t pause and ask you if you’re still watching after every few episodes. Whenever that message comes up on Netflix, I feel guilty each time I push the button that says “Yes, I’m still watching” because I feel like I should be doing something better with my time than watching more episodes of some TV show. So, thanks, Amazon for not making me feel like a slacker when I watch four episodes of The Good Wife each night!
James Corden and his carpool karaoke segments are so fun for me to watch. The most recent with Michelle Obama is no exception.
Have a great week!
