Hi! How was your weekend? Does it feel like summer is just falling through your fingertips? Or are you ready for Fall?
Yesterday, we made Trader Joe’s pumpkin pancakes for breakfast and it made me super excited that Fall and all things pumpkin spice are just around the corner.
I also made TJs boxed brownies with Cecilia last week and those were a big hit, too.
Did you watch the Opening Ceremonies? I stayed up past midnight watching them and they still weren’t over when I went to bed!
Our TV has been on the Olympics 24/7 since Friday and I’m totally fine with that. I honestly haven’t watched an episode of Gilmore Girls or The Good Wife since they began (what?!?!?). I’m most excited to watch gymnastics, all the swimming and diving and track and field. I’ve also watched a good amount of cycling and volleyball so far. I just can’t stop.
For those of you on Instagram, are you liking the new Instagram stories feature? I think I like it. I’ve been reluctant to join Snapchat because I don’t need ANOTHER app to constantly check, so from what I can tell, this sort of combines Insta and Snapchat. I’m totally fine with that and have enjoyed watching everyone’s stories so far.
If you follow me on Goodreads or Twitter, you know that I’m currently reading Andy Cohen’s first book, Most Talkative. I read his second book last year and really liked it, but I love this first book of his so much more. It goes more into his background and childhood and it is hilarious. I can’t remember the last time I laughed out loud (multiple times during one page!) while reading a book. I find him incredibly endearing and can’t wait to read more.
Cecilia started a gymnastics class last week and I can’t tell you how excited I was to dress her in bike shorts, a tank and put a ponytail in her hair. So. Stinking. Cute.
Speaking of Cecilia, she went on a two day nap strike last week and they were some of the longest days we’ve had around here lately. What was amusing though, was watching her on the monitor doing crib sprints and baby gymnastics. See, she loves the Olympics, too.
Have a great week!
