How was your weekend?!?!
It was HOT here this weekend, but is supposed to cool down (you know, to the mid 70s) this week, so I’m looking forward to the “Fall” weather 🙂
On Friday, we visited our first pumpkin patch of the season! Woohoo! Cecilia loved it! Not only were the pumpkins a big hit for her, but so was the kiddie train, petting zoo and the carnival rides. The girl has NO fear and even went on a super fast boat ride twice! Last year at the same pumpkin patch, she wasn’t even crawling, so it was amazing to think about how much she has grown since.
Did any of you hit up a pop-up Luke’s Diner (from Gilmore Girls) last week? I had plans to, but once I got to the coffee shop the line was around the corner! No thanks! If you made it to one, how was it?
Cecilia spent Saturday afternoon at home with a sitter, so I made this marshmallow play dough Friday night for her to play with while I was away. It’s “taste friendly” and took less than five minutes to make each ball. She has been playing with it all weekend, so I’d say it’s a hit!
I’m almost done reading The Woman in Cabin 10. It’s really good and I can’t wait to see how it ends.
Speaking of reading, I looked at my calendar and November is going to be a BIG reading month. I’ve already pre-ordered three books that come out then and I can’t wait!!!! I don’t know how to pick which I’m going to read first (two come out on the same day).
I’ve always been one of those people who refused to think about Christmas or listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving, but this week I had a huge urge to listen to my James Taylor Holiday station on Pandora. What is wrong with me?!?! We haven’t even gotten to Halloween!
Oh, and since Netflix already has some Christmas movies up, I want to watch all those, too. I’ve already watched The Holiday. Who am I?!?! HELP!
Have a fantastic week!
