Hi, hi! How was your weekend?
Our weekend was super relaxed. We went to the zoo, did our normal grocery trip, walked around our old neighborhood and tried to relax as much as possible.
This weekend we finished watching The People vs OJ Simpson on Netflix. It was very well done, in my opinion. It totally sucked us in, shed new light on the case and evidence and made us think back to where we were when the news hit about the verdict. I clearly remember the Bronco chase because my family was at a family graduation party and it was on the TV in the background and I remember being in science class in middle school when the teacher rolled in the TV and we watched the verdict being read. Do you remember where you were?
Recently I’ve been re-watching The West Wing while I work during Cecilia’s nap time. Such a good show.
Do you have any fun Valentine’s Day plans? We’re staying in on the actual day, but are hoping to get in a date night this weekend.
These chocolate-dipped apple snacks are so good and easy and perfect if you need a sweet snack or treat for your Valentine.
I’m getting my haircut this weekend for the first time in almost a year. SO. EXCITED.
Do you like carnations? I may be in the minority, but I love them. I’m not as much of a fan as the small carnations as I am the big full ones, though.
I’m a huge fan of the Cartwheel app for Target and am now an even bigger fan because of their perks program. I reached the 5000 point mark this weekend and I was able to get a free DVD!
The free DVD I chose was Frozen. We’ve watched it a few times and it’s safe to say Cecilia is completely enthralled by it. I have yet to watch it all the way through, but I know I’ll get my fill of it in the coming weeks and months.
Speaking of Frozen, why do all the little girls want to be Elsa? From what I’ve watched it seems like Anna is the heroine of the movie. Is it because Elsa gets to wear the sparkly dress and sings Let it Go?
I hope you all have a LOVELY week!
