Hey, hey! How was your weekend? Is it starting to feel like summer where you are?
We spent Saturday morning at the aquarium celebrating World Oceans Day with PBS Kids’ Splash and Bubbles. Cecilia is a fan of this super cute show, so she LOVED that they had people dressed as the two fish and she got to take a picture with them. It was the sweetest thing. They also had really great crafts for the kids and were screening an episode of the show. It was a fantastic morning!
Yesterday we went to Cecilia’s first baseball game! I grew up as a season ticket holder for the Oakland A’s, so it was really special for me to take her to her first game. She has been obsessed with playing baseball the past couple of weeks, so it was a big thrill for her to be at a real game. I see lots more in our future!
I saw Boyz II Men, Paula Abdul and New Kids on the Block last week with a group of Stroller Strides pals. We had THE BEST night! Seriously, we screamed and danced like it was 1989. We didn’t see much of Boyz II Men because we were running a little late, but they sounded as smooth as ever. Paula was impressive and the New Kids rocked it for over two hours.
After my defunct bouquet of dark red peonies last week, I bought some blush pink ones yesterday. They’re not even close to being all the way open, but they are already spectacular.
We’ve been on a total popcorn kick the last week and have been having it as a post-dinner, TV watching snack. I make it on the stove top and it’s so easy and so good!
What are you reading right now? If you’re in need of a great book to read this summer, I highly suggest The Shoemaker’s Wife.
I hope you have a wonderful week!
