Hi! How was your weekend?
Yesterday we celebrated Father’s Day with breakfast at one of our favorite places followed by an afternoon on the beach and our favorite pizza for dinner.
Travis and Cecilia spent Saturday afternoon putting together a Star Wars Lego model that we got him for Father’s Day. It was so special to watch them work together and to see them flying the ship around the house.
I’ve gotten back into the habit of reading for a while before I go to bed each night, so I’ve been starting to make a dent on my summer reading list. I’ve got a book review AND a book giveaway for you later this week, so stay tuned!
I must apologize that my posts the last few weeks have been less frequent than normal. For the past year (or maybe a little more) I’ve been a solid 3x a week poster. Lately I’ve only been posting 1-2 times a week because I’ve been spending Cecilia’s nap time and the time I have after she goes to bed on working toward becoming a Stroller Strides instructor. I’ve done quite a bit of training/studying for it already and this week I start team-teaching! All of you know how much Stroller Strides has changed our lives for the better, so this is a very exciting time for me and my family. I promise I’ll get back to my regularly scheduled 3x a week blogging soon!
I made my first ice cream of the season yesterday! Man did I miss it these last few months! Homemade ice cream is THE BEST!
Last week for our Stroller Strides Mom’s Night Out, we took a flower arranging class! I have to say that I’m super proud of how my (and everyone else’s) arrangement turned out. Mine is still looking gorgeous and sitting on my dining room table. I never want it to die. I may cry when I have to toss it 🙁
We’ve been majorly binge-watching The West Wing each night, but other than that and Real Housewives of New York, the only TV I’m watching are Daniel Tiger, Sesame Street, Curous George and Disney movies.
We made the last of our Italy/DC reservations last week! My Stroller Strides training schedule runs right up though the week we leave, so it’s going to be even more crazy around here with team-teaching and prepping for our trip, but I’m so excited for our family adventure!
I hope you all stay cool this week! It’s going to be another warm one here in Southern California!
