Do you Pinterest?
I admit that I’m late to the Pinterest party.
As I mentioned here, I’ve had an account for quite a few years. I even remember the day I first saw this Pinterest site everyone was chattering about. I was visiting some old and dear college friends in Texas almost five years ago and my friend Hayley pulled out her computer and gave me a run-down of what Pinterest was all about. That was back in the early days of the site when you needed a friend to invite you to join, which then put you on a wait list to get your own account.
Well, a few days after I got home from my Texas visit, I got an email from Pinterest giving me directions for opening my own account. After I did just that, I browsed the site for a bit and then probably didn’t log in again for months. Whenever I was planning a party, looking for design ideas for our condo or searching for new recipes, all of my friends would tell me to look for ideas on Pinterest. I never really did it and honestly didn’t become a Pinterest fan until maybe two years ago. It was then that I made a fashion inspiration board to help my Stitch Fix stylist find the perfect clothes for me and started storing recipes (ones I love and ones I want to make) on the site. Most recently, I got a TON of inspiration for Cecilia’s first birthday party from Pinterest.
Fast forward to now, this once Pinterest shunner is going CAH-RAZY pinning design inspiration for our potential new home. I’ve started a board for every room from the living room to the laundry room and every time I think about a design element in our potential home, I go on to Pinterest and pin ideas I find and like. I have a ton of other boards now including holiday decorating ideas, pretty gift wrapping, toddler craft projects and travel guides.
Oh, and you want to know what else I love about Pinterest? All those articles with pictures of Pinterest fails. OMG. Those make me laugh so stinking hard!
So, what about you? Do you love Pinterest? What are your favorite things to search for?
