Happy New Year!!!! How did you celebrate last night?
It was a hip-hopping night in our house – we were all in bed before midnight and Cecilia didn’t even make it to the New York countdown (which I was hoping she would).
I can’t believe how fast the last two weeks have gone by! Cecilia already goes back to preschool tomorrow! The past two weeks have been filled with traveling to see my family and the stomach flu. Yes, the stomach flu. Cecilia got a mild case of it, but I did NOT get so lucky and was sick as a dog over the weekend. I feel pretty close to 100% now, though, thank goodness! I can’t even remember the last time I’ve felt so awful.
Despite getting sick once we arrived home, our holiday travels were lovely. Cecilia did incredibly well on our long drives up north and back and we filled each day of our trip with fun, family and food. We visited our favorite Bay Area spots and had multiple holiday celebrations with family and friends.
The one bad thing about celebrating Christmas on a few separate occasions, is that now Cecilia is going through present-withdrawal. She’s asked every morning if she could open more presents and yesterday when I took down our Christmas decorations and tree, she actually cried! I still wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t handle the crying, so I let her put up some of the New Year decorations we used when we would throw New Year’s Eve parties.
Have you set your New Year goals? I’m going to sit down and do mine this week, so stay tuned! I’ll also post my 2017 goals wrap-up.
If you want to get a start on making your 2018 goals, you can check out this post I wrote a couple years back about how I set and keep track of my goals and progress.
What are you watching on TV right now? I am sooooooo happy that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills AND Vanderpump Rules are back and I’m all caught up on those. I STILL have to catch up on the last three-ish episodes of This is Us and Jane the Virgin. Other than that, Gilmore Girls and The West Wing have been on their usual Netflix repeat in my house.
Are you as excited as I am about the Olympics?!?!? They are coming up so soon! What are your favorite winter Olympic sports?
I hope you all had a lovely send-off for 2017 last night and are looking forward to all 2018 will bring for us! Let’s get this party started!
