I loved it so much the first time, I’m coming back at you with another round of my favorite pumpkin items at Trader Joe’s!
Last year’s round one of my favorite pumpkin items was a huge hit, so I decided to try MORE pumpkin items this year and write up another round for you. This post would have come to you a little sooner, but Travis told me I could only buy a couple of new pumpkin items each week. Womp, womp. It was probably good he set the rule, though, because the total for the first shopping trip after the pumpkin items were released would have been a doozy if he hadn’t.
Without further chit-chat, here are round two of my TJs pumpkin favorites…
Pumpkin Joe-Joes – I must admit I was skeptical about these, but felt like they were calling my name as I was staring at them while waiting in the checkout line. I thought that a pumpkin version of their traditional Joe-Joes (which I love) could either be really super or really terrible, with no in between. To my pleasant surprise, these were tasty. Not overly sweet and a decent amount of pumpkin flavor.
Petite Pumpkin Pie Spice Cookies – These are soooooo good. I think I like them more than the Joe-Joe’s, too. These are cute pumpkin shaped shortbread cookies with a pumpkin pie spice yogurt coating. They remind me of those animal shape yogurt-coated cookies I had as a kid. You know, the ones that were pink and white with rainbow sprinkles on them. I can’t remember the brand name, but I loved those and I love these. The pumpkin pie spice flavor is perfect and, if I let myself, I could probably eat the entire box in one or two sittings.
Pumpkin Macarons – Would you believe me if I told you that Travis was actually the one who suggested we buy these? Well, believe it, because these were his idea! They were really good, too! The pumpkin flavor was more subtle, but they were a nice, tiny treat to have after dinner.
Organic Pumpkin Toaster Pastries – I’m working on my third box of these already. They are great for a quick breakfast or a quick snack. Cecilia and I share these and she loves them, too. I’m a fan of the other toaster pastry flavors they sell, but this one may just be my favorite.
Pumpkin Spice Scone Mix -I love these for a couple different reasons. One, because they’re really good. Two, because all you need to make these at home is water. Seriously. You need 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons of water (total!) to make the mix and the glaze and that’s it. I whipped them up in no time and was eating scones 15 minutes later. They have great pumpkin spice flavor and I think this may be one of their pumpkin items I stock up on, so I can have them all year round.
What are your current favorite TJs pumpkin items? Tell me!
I’d also like to mention that I’ve tried two pumpkin items this season that I DID NOT like. They were the pumpkin tortilla chips and the frozen pumpkin waffles. The tortilla chips are still in my pantry because I feel bad throwing food out, but they will NOT be eaten. The pumpkin waffles are okay if you douse them with maple syrup, but taste nothing like pumpkin when you taste them plain.
Also, even though this isn’t a pumpkin item, I want to mention the TJs spiced cider which I love and absolutely recommend! YUM!
