Hey! How was your weekend???? Did you do any fun and exciting things?
We had a fun first half of the week because Travis was on Spring Break. We did Stroller Strides together as a family, went to the zoo and had other fun adventures around town. It was so great to have a TON of uninterrupted family time.
The second half of the week was spent potty training. Bleh. While I can’t say we’ve had many accidents (which is a good thing) we are in a huge battle getting Cecilia to sit on the potty when she wakes up, before going to sleep, before eating and before we leave the house. The girl will hold it all in until it is painful for her. She will give us a few second heads up before she really really can’t hold it in any longer, but she has to have it all happen on her watch. I’m hoping with more practice doing things on her time that she gets more comfortable going on her little potty, and then going when we prompt her will get easier. Otherwise, I’m so afraid I’m never going to be able to leave the house again since she will not sit when I ask and I don’t want to leave the house with a ticking time (pee) bomb. Any suggestions? Or do I just have to continue to tough it out?
I got in TWO solo runs last week which is HUGE! I still have a ways to go before the Bay to Breakers next month, so I’m hoping I can keep squeezing those runs into our schedule.
We’re thinking of buying a grill for our patio, which really excites me. The weather has been gorgeous this past week and it made me crave summer cookouts in our own place.
Did you hear TLC is bringing back Trading Spaces?!?!? I was so thrilled when I heard the news. That show was HUGE when I was in college and I literally would skip the big parties every once in a while to just stay in and watch a marathon on Friday or Saturday night. My favorite designer was Laurie partly because she was awesome and partly because we were in the same sorority. My least favorite was Hilde. EEK! I remember always telling people I would cry if I were on that show and Hilde was the designer in my house.
Two of my favorite Bravo shows are wrapping up, but with that comes the premiere of Real Housewives of New York this week. I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to it!
Y’all, I still haven’t watched the This is Us finale. I don’t know why, but I just can’t do it!
Oh, and in case you didn’t see my Insta story this weekend, I started watching American Crime on Netflix. It is intense!
I hope you all have a great week! Send good potty training thoughts our way!
