Get ready for a book review that will get you excited for winter reading!
Winter Stroll by Elin Hilderbrand was the 20th book I’ve read this year as I work toward my goal of reading 24 books in 2017. I’m so close to my goal, but am running short on time to read! I’ve already downloaded the rest of this Winter series to read over our Christmas travels, so we’ll see if I can do it!
This second book in Elin Hilderbrand’s Winter series takes place one year after the end of the first. It’s Christmastime again on Nantucket and the town is in a festive holiday mood. The Quinn family has come together not only to celebrate the holiday, but also to baptize it’s newest member. Since is the Quinn family, none of this happens without drama as tension, jealousy and stress are kicked into high gear.
These books are so great to read this time of year. As has been the case the past few months of this pregnancy, I have been so beat at the end of the day that it’s been hard for a book to keep my attention. The Winter series has been a quick read so far and the perfect thing to end my day. I liked seeing where these characters were one year on and how their lives had changed for the good, as well as for the bad. Just like the last book, I appreciate the complicated family dynamics that make up the Quinn family, but that at the end of the day their connection and love are stronger than anything that comes between them. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series over our time away for Christmas and I can’t wait to tell you all about them! I think I heard that after the most current book that was released this year, Elin Hilderbrand won’t be writing anymore books in this series, so I’m interested to see how this all wraps up.
